Ever since Rajamouli delivered the industry hit Magadheera and turned the nation's eyes towards his films, he has been under extreme pressure called 'heavy expectations'. While Maryada Ramanna was a quickie and released without much fuss, his next film, the visual effects magic, Eega, released amidst high expectations.

To counter the pressure and still surpass the fans' expectations, Rajamouli derived a technique and that was to reveal the film's basic plot during the film's muhurtham itself. This made the fans to vaguely expect what they will be watching on screen, without going in with their preconceived plotlines and get disappointed if the film ends up being something else.
